Incredibly talented picker and dreamy singer Clayton Eiberg is stepping out from his juggernaut bluegrass band Dadweed to do an intimate show of him solo or backed with a few tasty friends! Everything this fella touches is golden, come see what he’s singing about now! https://www.maryelizaband.com/ Mary Eliza, Portland-based singer/songwriter, grew up playing music in a family band in Oakland, CA, and has spent the years since travelling, living in her van, and busking on city sidewalks. She finds community in the mountains she situates between, the streets she steps through, and the communities she opens her heart towards. The catchy hooks of her songs are reminiscent of the bluegrass origins of Mary’s music, while the old-time, indie folk carried through her instrumentation captures the years she spent on the road.

The 1905
Christopher Brown Quartet Wed, Jul 01 TICKETS $25 | ALL AGES Greg Goebel (Piano) Garrett Baxter (Bass) Christopher Brown (Drums) *With special guest Chris Clark-Johnson (guitar) Upon Christopher Brown’s return to Portland in 2012—which was preceded by 13 years in the NYC area, as well as four years in the Marine Corps—the assemblage of his quartet quickly became one of note. And by 2017, his quartet had officially become the most visible Jazz group in all of Portland, with a steady weekly cadence of 3-4 performances, which was maintained until the start of the global pandemic. And even then, it took them no more than three months to return to a similar weekly performance schedule. Since 2017, the quartet has created a home for themselves at the famed 1905 Jazz club in Portland. And through their regular performances, they’ve not only helped to raise the profile of the venue to one of the world’s top 100 Jazz clubs according to Down Beat Magazine, but of Jazz itself in Portland. So in a market where it's difficult to maintain group's with the same personnel, it's arguable that the Christopher Brown Quartet succeeds as being one of (if not the best) Jazz "group" in all of Portland, which in turn gives them such a powerful, polished, and identifiable sound that can now be heard on his debut album "Sole City" on the PJCE record label. 06:30 PM SHOW 08:30 PM SHOW

The duo has also performed extensively on the west coast, including the Earshot Jazz Festival in Seattle, and internationally in London, Amsterdam, Mexico City, and Japan performing on Mt. Fuji. Down in the Delta with Yella P and Ms Vee Fri, Jul 03 TICKETS $40 | ALL AGES Harp/Guitar Extraordinaire Yella P joins Portland's Bad girl of the Blues, Ms Vee and a Badass Band! Damion “Yella P” Pearson is a Memphis-born harmonica virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist, and educator whose sound blends blues, soul, jazz, funk, and hip-hop, shaped by influences ranging from Marvin Gaye, John Coltrane, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, and George Clinton to Southern rap icons like 8Ball & MJG and Playa Fly. Equally at home playing gospel in a Baptist church, gritty Southern soul in a Mississippi juke joint, or hip-hop on an underground stage, Yella P is known for his rare versatility and deep cultural range. Self-taught from age 13, he honed his craft busking on Beale Street alongside blues legend ‘Big Jerry’ Parnell before earning a Music Education degree from Tennessee State University as a member of the renowned Aristocrat of Bands. A fixture in the Memphis music scene, he has collaborated and shared stages with artists including Eric Gales, The Bar-Kays, Kirk Whalum, Eddie Floyd, Bobby Rush, and Robert Finley, and co-founded the award-winning duo Memphissippi Sounds with Cam Kimbrough—whose debut album Welcome to the Land charted internationally and fueled tours across the U.S., Europe, and Canada. Now fully dedicated to his art, Yella P continues to release new music while delivering powerful, genre-bending performances that honor tradition and boldly push it forward. Ms. Vee Singer, Musician, Writer, and Comedienne; 2023 Muddy Awards Nominee for Best Female Vocalist, 2021 Band & 2019 Solo Granite State Blues Challenge Winner & International Blues Challenge Semifinalist. Ms Vee's style of Soul Blues is infused with black southern gospel and a lot of soul! In 2018, Ms Vee launched her own music project, founding Ms Vee and a Badass Band. Hailing from Arkansas by way of Memphis Tennessee, the award-winning Ms Vee brings powerhouse vocals and a razor sharp wit to every show.In January 2023, Ms Vee launched a Pacific Northwest configuration of Ms Vee and a Badass Band.
