About

The Killingsworth Sad Valley is the version that leans harder into nightlife. Located in the Boise neighborhood along the increasingly busy Killingsworth strip, it’s less “neighborhood hang” and more “things might get loose after 11pm.”

The space is compact but built for movement—low lighting, neon accents, and a dance floor that fills quickly once the DJs get going. Music is central here, with rotating sets that can range from electronic and hip-hop to throwbacks and genre-specific nights. It’s the kind of place where the vibe is dictated less by the decor and more by whoever’s behind the decks.

There’s a raw, slightly chaotic edge to it—in a good way. It doesn’t try to be refined or overly curated, which makes it feel more immediate and less performative than some of Portland’s trendier spots. You’ll get a mix of regulars, industry folks, and people bouncing between nearby bars, all converging once the night hits its stride.

Compared to the Sellwood location, this one is louder, denser, and more intentionally nightlife-driven. If you’re here, you’re probably not calling it an early night.
