45 East is Portland's flagship electronic music venue, built specifically around dance music culture and large-scale DJ performances. Located in the Central Eastside, the venue has become a major stop for national and international touring artists across the electronic music spectrum.
The venue is designed around a large dance floor, professional sound system, and concert-grade lighting production. Unlike traditional bars or multi-purpose venues, 45 East is built first and foremost as a dance music space, with programming that regularly features house, techno, trance, bass, drum & bass, dubstep, hard dance, and other electronic genres.
A major part of the venue's identity is its production value. Touring artists often bring custom visual elements, while the venue supplements performances with extensive lighting, LED displays, lasers, and effects designed to create an immersive club experience.
