High Limit Room is an all-ages live music venue in Portland’s Central Eastside, built to give bands of different sizes a place to play and audiences of all ages a place to see shows. The venue is located upstairs at 720 SE Hawthorne Blvd, between SE 7th and 8th, in the building with the marquee out front.
The space is music-first rather than bar-first. Its website highlights a strong sound system and backline, with tech specs available for performers. The venue sells soft drinks such as Liquid Death and Diet Coke, but does not sell or allow alcohol, which makes it distinct from many Portland show spaces.
High Limit Room has limited seating in the back, allows re-entry with a wristband, and uses QR-code ticket scanning for advance tickets. The venue is upstairs with no elevator, so it is not currently ADA accessible, though the site says they are looking into options for a wheelchair lift.
