https://www.facebook.com/p/William-Surly-100063511720922/ William Surly is a singer/songwriter and founder of The Barroom Gospel Band, who saddles his proverbial horse in Portland, Oregon, and is no stranger to the western cocktail. Within the music The Barroom Gospel Band blends classic country with equal parts honky tonk, folk, soul, rock and a whole lot of tequila. Inspired by story tellers the likes of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson, and rejuvenated by the modern sounds of Sturgil Simpson and Whitey Morgan And The 78’s, Surly pays homage to the ones who came before him, singing songs for those best suited for a bar stool and a long running tab. https://www.instagram.com/missjackiestraw/ Jackie Straw started out in the Denver music scene with all-girl band Pistols in Petticoats. She cut her teeth playing bluegrass nationally and quickly realized it was time to start a new project. Jackie & The Racket was formed with local players in the Denver area. Jackie recorded Goal Digger and Tough Luck Cowboy under JATR at SwingFinger Studios in Northern Colorado with notable players on these records like Pat Lyons, Tyler Grant, Adrian Engfer, and Natalie Padilla. During the pandemic, Jackie realized it was time to reach for the stars and is now based out of Nashville. She spends half her time in Denver and half her time in Nashville. Jackie has rebranded again to her most authentic self, Jackie Straw. Jackie is working on a new record with Ken Croomer at Cartoon Moon Recording. She is continually bending genres and bringing psychedelic country music to our ears. Her largest inspirations are Dolly Parton and Jerry Garcia and she brings a sense of sass to her music that is refreshing.https://www.facebook.com/p/William-Surly-100063511720922/ William Surly is a singer/songwriter and founder of The Barroom Gospel Band, who saddles his proverbial horse in Portland, Oregon, and is no stranger to the western cocktail. Live Music

https://www.ashleighflynnandtheriveters.com With what PopMatters describes as “tenacious swagger,” critically-acclaimed solo artist Ashleigh Flynn recently dialed up the volume and debuted an all-female rock band as a nod to the “Rosie the Riveter” archetype from WWII. Flynn grew up in Kentucky and cut her teeth on local bluegrass music and Motown. A prolific songwriter and performer blessed with unbridled charisma, she arrived on the Americana scene in 2008 with the release of her third LP, American Dream, a poetic lament to the elusiveness of that national ethos. A Million Stars followed in 2013 – a rollicking journey celebrating the women pioneers of the American West. Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters’ inaugural LP hit the streets in 2018 featuring a sound that hearkens back to early Stones, ‘70s psychedelic country rock, and alternately charms like a Sunday afternoon front porch session…

Kavita Shah

Alberta Abbey

Live Music

Grammy-nominated vocalist Kavita Shah blends jazz, Brazilian rhythms, and global folk traditions into a vibrant, boundary-crossing live set. When Kavita Shah first visited her ancestral villages on the coast of Gujarat, in northwestern India, they felt strangely familiar — like she had been there before. The teal blue houses, the mangroves, and the guava trees reminded Shah of her travels throughout Latin America, Brazil and West Africa, with their equally vibrant colors and cultures. Shah is an award-winning vocalist, composer, researcher and polyglot who makes globally-minded music that is deeply engaged with the jazz tradition. Her winding path back to her ancestral homeland is embodied in the title of Kavita Shah’s forthcoming album, All Roads Lead to Home, due out in Fall 2026 on Folkalist Records.

Live MusicDance

https://www.joshcolemusic.com Josh Cole has been playing bluegrass in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. It started in the late 90s, when he first heard “Midnight Moonlight” from Old and In the Way. That moment forever bonded Josh to bluegrass music. He went on to serve as President of the Oregon Bluegrass Association and continues to host “Music From the True Vine” on KBOO-FM, the longest running bluegrass show West of the Mississippi. Josh’s influences include Ralph Stanley, Larry Sparks, and Bill Monroe, many of whom are featured on the Josh Cole Bluegrass Show, his podcast with nearly 200 episodes of traditional bluegrass recordings. Josh has played in dozens of bands, along with running his own hard-driving bluegrass band for nearly two decades. That’s why hometown fans have lovingly nicknamed him “The Elvis of Portland Bluegrass.”

Blonde Aid: Dance for Democracy

Live MusicDance

Blonde Neon teams up with a stacked lineup for an all-out-80's benefit concert supporting the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition. You've seen the news. Watched the videos. Maybe witnessed in-person injustices targeting immigrant families in our own backyard. Blonde Neon asked "what can we do?" So we brought in our friends The Wanna Be-52’s, DEVOtees, and Decadent ‘80s to host a benefit concert that will donate 100% of proceeds to the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC). This grassroots Portland organization runs a 24/7 hotline, provides legal support, and mobilizes volunteers to defend immigrant families across Oregon.Music brings us together, and so does showing up for our Portland community. We are proud to support the people who enrich our city every day. Come for the music, stay for the community — and know that every ticket makes a difference.
